This is a research film made in 2020 exploring the ideas of collective power and action against patriachal and colonial forces. It is made up of many clips that I use and return to for inspiration within my own practice and life.
This film was commissioned by Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool in 2020. It was made as a response to the lack of access to dancefloors due to lockdown and is made up of clips digitially collected by myself of old and new friends made in this time. It was streamed during an online launch for the film and had a discord that ran alongside the screening, like some kind of digital smoking area to have a gossip and convene however we could.
This is a film made in 2018 which I modelled, styled, shot and edited myself in a variety of costumes that were inspired by the themes I was exploring in my work at the time. From fantasy to heritage, they are still important in my work many years later.
This is a film made in 2016 exploring the idea of Billy Elliot as a patron saint of social mobility through his access to the arts. It was screened by VideoCity in Bern and Basel in 2023/24.
This film was made in collaboration with Joshua Crabtree as part of his MA Final Collection at Central Saint Martins. Exploring themes of catharsis, healing after war and how to integrate within natural environments, it is a celebration of the ability to find peace amongst the pain.
